GTS Launches Anti-DDoS Security Services in the CEE Region

27.03.2014 | Warsaw | Press Releases

GTS Central Europe (GTS), a leading provider of integrated telecommunications solutions and data center services throughout Central and Eastern Europe, today announced new service capabilities designed to protect enterprise customer networks from distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.

In today’s digital economy, enterprises depend on the Internet as an integral part of their business strategy. Whether companies utilize their web presence to transact and deliver services or communicate valuable information to customers, they are vulnerable to DDoS attacks. Over the last year, more and more Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) businesses have been targeted with the volume of attacks growing by nearly 40% and the magnitude reaching multiple Gbps per incident, three times higher than the previous year.

GTS Anti-DDoS is a cloud-based service that provides around-the-clock monitoring and surgically removes malicious traffic while allowing legitimate traffic to flow through the customer’s network during an attack; thereby, maintaining their web presence and business operations without interruption.

  • Monitoring: GTS actively monitors and analyzes incoming customer traffic to detect any anomalies, traffic profiles changes and the latest traffic fingerprints in less than 15 minutes.
  • Mitigation: GTS’ experienced security professionals work closely with the customer to build a customized protection plan backed by world-class traffic scrubbing technologies and operational procedures to filter out malicious traffic.

“DDoS attacks are growing in frequency and complexity, disrupting enterprises in the region. Traditional protection techniques are no longer effective,” said Sunny Kumar, VP of Marketing and Business Development at GTS. “To maximize business uptime, customers require network-based protection to allow their business to grow and protect their brand.”
