How would it be like to work as a NOC Technical Leader with us?

Your main mission will be to help increase the team's technical capability, autonomy, and scalability in collaboration with the NOC Manager.

You’ll be a technical point of reference for your colleagues and support them in handling complex incidents and troubleshooting activities in areas like routing, switching, VPN, VoIP, DNS, cloud, and other IT&C services – technologies that are already part of the team’s area of responsibility.

You’ll serve as the technical escalation point for situations that exceed the team’s autonomy level and contribute to identifying and implementing technical solutions.

Your role will go beyond solving individual incidents: you’ll look to identify recurring problems, understand their causes, and help implement solutions that reduce the likelihood of the same issues happening again.

The Technical Lead will work closely with the NOC Manager, contributing to the development of the team's technical capabilities, managing complex situations, and continuously improving technical processes and practices.

Technical leadership
You will:

  • be a technical reference point and escalation point for complex situations;
  • guide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high-impact or recurring incidents;
  • support the team in making technical decisions;
  • identify risks, recurring issues, and areas for improvement, and help implement corrective actions;
  • collaborate with other technical teams to solve problems requiring cross-functional expertise;
  • contribute to defining and improving technical standards, troubleshooting methodologies, and operational best practices;
  • provide technical recommendations to the NOC Manager when a problem impacts operations, resources, services, or customers;
  • help assess the technical impact of proposed changes and solutions.

Scaling & Continuous Improvement
An important part of your role will be to help the team handle a larger volume and level of complexity, without this automatically meaning a proportional increase in resources.
You will:

  • identify repetitive activities and automation opportunities;
  • simplify and improve processes and troubleshooting workflows;
  • contribute to developing procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation;
  • turn individual knowledge into reusable knowledge for the whole team;
  • analyze patterns in incidents and escalations to identify systemic issues;
  • suggest improvements to tools and processes that can reduce resolution time and manual tasks;
  • help define and track relevant technical metrics;
  • monitor the increase in the percentage of issues resolved independently by the team;
  • collaborate with the NOC Manager to prioritize and implement improvement initiatives that impact NOC operations.

Your success won't just be measured by how many complex problems you manage to solve, but more importantly by how many problems the team becomes capable of solving without depending on you.

Mentorship & team development
You'll have an active role in developing your colleagues' technical skills.
You will:

  • mentor colleagues on day-to-day technical challenges;
  • use complex incidents as coaching and learning opportunities, without automatically taking over their resolution;
  • provide structured technical feedback and help colleagues identify their areas for growth;
  • organize knowledge sharing sessions, technical deep-dives, and incident reviews;
  • contribute to onboarding new colleagues and accelerating their technical development;
  • identify knowledge gaps within the team and help define training plans;
  • encourage colleagues to progressively take ownership of increasingly complex situations;
  • help build an environment where asking questions, sharing experiences, and learning from incidents are part of the normal workflow;
  • give the NOC Manager technical input regarding team members' competence levels and development areas.

This component builds on the approach already present in the team, where curiosity, the ability to learn new technologies, creativity, and taking responsibility are expected behaviors.

Knowledge & Operational Excellence
You will help build a team where knowledge is accessible and not just concentrated in a few key people.
You will:

  • help maintain and improve technical documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guides;
  • make sure that lessons learned from major incidents are documented and shared;
  • promote consistent troubleshooting and incident management practices;
  • contribute to post-incident reviews and turn conclusions into concrete actions;
  • help define technical quality standards within the team.

What makes you stand out?

  • Solid technical experience in networking and/or IT&C environments.
  • Relevant troubleshooting experience in technologies such as routing, switching, VPN, DNS, VoIP, cloud, or similar areas.
  • Experience managing complex incidents and performing root cause analysis.
  • Ability to understand complex technical problems and explain them clearly and in a structured way.
  • Ownership and the ability to make decisions in complex situations.
  • Genuine interest in mentoring and developing other colleagues.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and adjust your approach according to colleagues' experience levels.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to spot patterns and move from solving individual incidents to addressing systemic problems.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Advanced-level English.

What does success look like in this role?

In the first 6–12 months, we would expect to see:

  • the team’s technical autonomy increasing;
  • fewer escalations that could be handled at the team level;
  • less dependence on specific key individuals;
  • improved quality and consistency in troubleshooting;
  • better technical documentation and knowledge that’s easier to reuse;
  • reduction of repetitive or manual work through automation and process improvement;
  • visible development of technical skills among junior and mid-level colleagues;
  • identifying and resolving the root causes of recurring issues, not just handling individual incidents;
  • a stronger culture of ownership, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.

The Technical Lead role should help us build a team that can handle more complexity and scale without increasing in size proportionally and without becoming reliant on a few technical experts.

How do we picture you?

You are a professional with solid technical experience, who enjoys solving complex problems, but understands that technical leadership doesn’t just mean being the person who has all the answers.

You like helping others grow, sharing your experience, and building, together with the NOC Manager, an environment where colleagues become increasingly autonomous and confident in their technical decisions.

You feel comfortable taking technical ownership in complex situations and being an escalation point for the team when needed. At the same time, your goal is to help the team find the solution, not to become the person on whom solving every difficult problem depends.

You understand that your role is one of technical leadership and enablement, complementing the role of the NOC Manager.

You have a constant focus on scaling and efficiency: you look for ways to simplify processes, automate repetitive tasks, and turn individual experience into reusable knowledge across the whole team.

You combine technical expertise with good communication, coaching, and collaboration skills, and you can adapt the way you communicate depending on who you’re talking to – technical colleagues, other teams, management, or clients.

You’re curious, pragmatic, and always looking for opportunities to improve, both from a technical perspective and in how the team works.
