How would it be like to work as a Cloud Platforms Senior Engineer with us?
As a Cloud Platforms Senior Engineer, you will join our IT Platforms team and play a key role in building and operating our multi-tenant cloud infrastructure.
In this role, you will design, deploy, and optimize cloud platforms that serve a diverse customer base. Your primary focus will be on VMware Cloud Director environments, KVM virtualization, and Linux-based infrastructure, along with data protection solutions.
The Cloud Platforms Senior Engineer (MSP) role is an excellent opportunity for you as an engineer who is technically solid across virtualization, backup, and Linux, and who is eager to grow and evolve together with our platform.
How do we picture you?
You have primary focus experience in:
VMware Cloud Platform:
- Administer and maintain VMware service provider stack (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX-T, vCloud Director, VCDA, AVI LB)
- Configure virtual networking, security policies, and NSX-T topologies
- Ensure platform availability, performance, and scalability
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies
- Monitor infrastructure and respond to incidents within SLAs
- Support onboarding of new customers to the platform
Linux Infrastructure & Services:
- Administer Linux systems (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL/CentOS)
- Manage core services: DNS, HTTP/S, SMTP, DHCP, NFS, iSCSI, CIFS, FTP
- Operate and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra)
- Configure high availability clusters (Corosync/Pacemaker)
- Manage load balancing (HAProxy) and firewall rules (iptables/nftables)
- Work with KVM virtualization environments
You have working knowledge in:
Networking & Security:
- Configure and manage Cisco switching & routing (L2/L3)
- Administer FortiGate firewalls (policies, NAT, VPN)
- Understand routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and redundancy (HSRP/VRRP)
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong Linux system administration experience
- Solid knowledge of VMware stack (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
- Experience with network services and storage (NFS, iSCSI, CIFS)
- Familiarity with KVM virtualization
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing)
- Experience with FortiGate firewalls
- Basic scripting (Bash)
Nice-to-Have skills:
- NSX-T, vCloud Director, VMware Cloud Director Availability
- AVI / NSX Advanced Load Balancer
- Python scripting / automation
- Monitoring tools (Checkmk, syslog-ng)
- NetApp storage
You bring solid operations & documentation capabilities:
- Maintain documentation (runbooks, diagrams, procedures)
- Work with vendors and telecom operators
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization projects
