GTS Telecom announces investments of over 600,000 euros in data centre expansion and cloud infrastructure

GTS Telecom, one of the leading providers of infrastructure-based telecommunication solutions in Romania, announced a significant investment in the expansion of its Bucharest data centre and dedicated cloud platform.
Over the last year, GTS has seen a significant growth in their data centre and cloud services in Romania. To support the increased demand for colocation and infrastructure as a service (Iaas) solutions. GTS expanded their data centre space by 25% and installed a new dedicated cloud platform in Bucharest. This investment brings the newest cloud technologies to Romania, which will considerably reduce implementation time for customers to configure and stand up workloads and give them much faster access to their critical business information.

In November 2013, Deutsche Telekom acquired GTS Central Europe, the group which includes GTS Telecom. The transaction is currently awaiting regulatory approval and both companies will operate independently until the transaction is finalized.
