25.03.2013 | Warsaw | Press Releases

GTS Central Europe, a leading provider of integrated telecommunications solutions and data center services throughout Central and Eastern Europe, announces that its fiber and radio network has surpassed a milestone of 15,000 on-net buildings.

In the past two years, GTS has invested over 30 million EUR annually into network expansion, reflecting some of the most aggressive growth in the region. In 2012, the network grew by more than 1,300 new connected buildings, an average of over 3 each day. The underlying drivers are increasing bandwidth demand for data services and higher service levels as more customers rely on GTS for mission-critical applications.

“Our metro networks connect commercial buildings to our regional fiber footprint that spans the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. Having deeper coverage allows us to deliver more solutions and better quality of service to meet the demanding requirements of our customers. More buildings mean more customers able to receive our fast growing Ethernet service and innovative unified communications and collaboration solutions,” states Ignacio Irurita, CTO at GTS.

GTS has the most expansive network in the CEE region covering over 26,000 route kilometers with 7,500 route kilometers in major metropolitan markets. Customers can choose from a full portfolio of connectivity, data center and cloud computing solutions to support their business. With its 13 data centers throughout CEE, the company is able to deliver exceptional service which meets the highest industry standards for security and quality of service.
