Bucharest, August 12, 2013 – GTS Telecom, one of the leading infrastructure–based providers in Romania, part of GTS Central Europe, has won the EuroCloud Romania award for Best Cloud offer – Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), for its GTS Virtual Hosting Environment service. This award qualifies the company for participation in the EuroCloud Europe competition.
The national edition of the EuroCloud Awards took place for the first time in July 2013, and included four categories: Best Cloud offer (Iaas, Saas, Paas); Best Cloud startup; Best Cloud project – private sector; Best Cloud project – public sector. A total of twelve submitted applications competed in the event. The winners of each category are pre-qualified for participation in the EuroCloud Europe awards, which will take place between 15-16 October in Luxembourg, as part of the EuroCloud congress. Apart from Romania, which will take part in this event for the very first time, participants will include Austria, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and Great Britain.
