How will it be like to work as Senior Network Engineer with us?
You will be responsible for the GTS IP/MPLS backbone architecture. Specifically, you will design the topology of our national and international networks, you will choose the equipment models (we currently use Cisco and Nokia equipment), and you will implement the necessary configurations.
You will plan capacity requirements and manage our upstreams and peerings.
You will coordinate both the projects and the planned works related to our backbone network. You will be the highest level of escalation for issues encountered by our NOC and Service Delivery teams.
You will take care of the administration of auxiliary platforms (monitoring and management systems, anti-DDOS, etc.).
If you are curious/eager to learn, or if you already have experience in the field, you will also be able to access the other platforms serving GTS customers (voice, virtualization, storage, backup, security, etc.)

How do we picture you?
You have advanced/expert level experience with network protocols (at least regarding BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, Ethernet over MPLS, VXLAN).
You have hands-on experience in operating a telecommunications operator’s network.
You have experience with Cisco service provider equipment. We would like you to already have experience with Nokia equipment, but that is just nice-to-have (if you don't, you will still have to learn to use Nokia as well).
You have experience in managing Linux systems.
We would like you to have experience in using virtualization environments (VMware), but again, it's just nice-to-have. Also, nice-to-have would be to have some knowledge of scripting and/or programming.
You are organized, you have project management skills. You deal with difficult situations, when something goes wrong, and the situation must be resolved as quickly as possible.
You enjoy finding solutions even when you have to resort to creativity. You feel comfortable taking control of situations, when you feel the success of the team depends on it.
You are a curious person. You like the idea that one can always be better only by engaging in a process of continuous learning, as the world in which we work becomes more and more complex.
Last, but not least, you are fluent in English :)
